Merry Christmas!
You may have noticed that there has been a glaring hole in the blogosphere over the past couple of weeks. There hasn’t been much activity here at ProductionNinja.com this month. While I was gone I spent some time with my family, almost burned down half of north Alabama on Independence Day… and oh yeah, I moved to Chicago. Now that I’ve settled in I think the blogging can resume, and there are a few additions I plan on making over the coming weeks and months.
For those of you who may have missed the big announcement, I made the big return to my hometown to be the producer for John and Cisco on 560 WIND in Chicago.
It was a tough and frustrating year and a half in Atlanta, but there were some highlights that I’ll always remember. I’ll miss working with people like Matt Cook, Mike Conti, Connie Cummings, Jennifer Perry and even superstar news intern Leah Sims. WGST has one of the most professional and hard working news staffs around and they are also one of the nicest groups of people I’ve come across. There’s not doubt that I’ll also definitely miss having such easy access to my family, but I have a feeling that they’ll be making quite a few trips to the Chicago-area now that I’m up here.
I’m very happy to be back up north though, anyone who has ever met me is pretty keenly aware that I’ve wanted to get back to Chicago years. I’ve already become a fan of John and Cisco and the rest of the staff at WIND and I’m looking forward to contributing more and more to the show.
