The next time we see Atlantis launch, it’ll be the last time. After today’s launch there are only 5 more left in the shuttle program. Assuming that it isn’t extended by President Obama to close the gap between the shuttle and Orion. Of course since Obama has taken so long to make a decision on Afghanistan, I don’t think we can expect him to make a decision on NASA’s future until the shuttle program is already gone… which may actually force his hand as far as funding NASA’s future plans.

A study says that the economy has driven shoplifting to new highs in America, $42.2 billion worth in the last year.
Remember that anti-abortion amendment tucked into Pelosicare that allowed it to narrowly pass the House? Obama is going to have it stripped from the conference bill. I guess he doesn’t want health care reform to pass after all.
Apparently President Obama has a thing for transportation. He’s already nationalized most of the car industry, but now Obama wants to nationalize subways and light rail systems. Apparently we have an L crisis in the country too, who knew?
Headline of the day: Mayhem erupts throughout city after appeal to end violence.
The White House says they’ll try to cut domestic spending in 2010. Ya know, other than the $1 trillion health care program they want. Looks like NASA’s screwed.
Maybe he’s still in mourning: Bruce Springsteen can’t remember what state he is in.
Bombshell: If you dress nicely for an interview there’s a better chance that you’ll land the job. We need an article to say that? Maybe there isn’t a recession after all, maybe people can’t find jobs because they are really really bad at interviews.

This woman posed online as a 14 year old girl to trap a sexual predator. The predator was her husband. Ewww. She’d become suspicious of him after seeing something on his computer. She turned him in. If you discovered your spouse up to something, would you do that?
The Westboro Baptist Church loons — the Rev. Fred Phelps and his handful of followers — are now protesting Jews. Apparently according to Fred’s flock the Jews are responsible for the Gays… or something.
