- Remember that teacher who was fired for pictures of her in a bikini showed up online? She has now turned to porn to pay the bills. She gets fired because there are pictures out there that are a little too revealing, so she decides that making a few that are even more revealing will help her in the future? I would say this fits pretty well with the fired photographer story from today.
- The stimulus package included $3.1 billion for extending state unemployment insurance benefits. But the states aren’t using the money. The reason: The states have to revamp the programs to add things like benefits to part-time workers, and the states are balking.
- Good news: The government is actually getting a 15% return on its investments in the banks. That’s about $4 billion or so. AIG? GM? Probably not.
