- The State: Ok, the Mark Sanford story isn’t funny anymore. Today he admitted that he actually went to Argentina and was having an affair. He already resigned as the chairman of the GOP Governors Conference, and quite a few are calling for him to step down as governor. Clinton…Edwards… Rudy… Newt. They’ve all cheated. This week two more: Nevada Republican Senator John Ensign and now Sanford have both admitted to cheating on their wives. Why do powerful, and otherwise intelligent men have affairs?
- Fox News: Good news… The White House announced today that it has rescinded the invitations to Iranian diplomats to help us celebrate Independence Day. - CBS: Speaking of Independence Day, even though gas prices are still considerably lower than they were last year at this time. AAA says that you’re going to travel less for the July 4th holiday. Are you going to be staying home for July 4th this year? No word on Mark Sanford’s plans for Independence Day.
- AP: A new AP poll suggests that people seem to think that pets are family, with about half giving their pets “human” names and food. How well do you treat your pets? If true that’s gotta make things tougher during the current economy, since people don’t have as much money to devote to their pets.
