- UPI: When looking for a new home, “hot and cold running snakes” is not usually a very big draw, but Floridian Elena Trowell says that two snakes slid into her bathtub through the faucet. Asked for comment, Trowell was quoted as saying “I have had it with these motherfrakking snakes in this motherfrakking tub!”
- Forbes: According to a new list published by the folks at Forbes, the city of Chicago has the most stressed-out residents in the United States. Another proud moment for my hometown. Chicago is the most stressed out, and also the most heavily taxed city in the country. Coincidence? I think not.
- CBS 4 Denver: A Denver area college professor has been accused of mocking students who identified themselves as Republicans, and also assigning students to write an essay critical of what he called the ‘fairy tale image of Palin’. A lefty college professor in Denver? I’m shocked. SHOCKED. Anyway being the standoffish kid that I am, I would have fulfilled the assignment writing an essay critical of ‘fairy tale image of Obama.’ Sure I would have gotten a bad grade, but I would have been able to revel in my own crapulence. What do you think, play the game and tell the professor what they want to hear, or be standoffish?
- FoxNews: Joe Biden says that paying more taxes is patriotic. Of course he only means “rich” people should pay more taxes just because it’s the American thing to do. I have two questions, if the “non-rich” pay lower taxes, does that mean they’re less patriotic? Also, does Biden not know that this country exists because people rejected the idea that they should just pay taxes on whatever their betters in the government say?
- TheWeek: A new study suggests that social networking sites have surpassed porn sites in popularity… I guess they failed to take into account the fact that for many teens there isn’t much of a difference.
