AP: There are days when it’s very good to work in radio… for example there was the time that I had a press pass for a Cubs spring training game and Fred McGriff said “What’s up?” to me. Also tomorrow morning, Jessica Simpson will be in the country studio. But none of those undeniably awesome events can compare to today. When the entire stock market implodes as it did today, I’m suddenly glad that I work in radio and don’t make any money at all.
AP: Remember the movie Billy Madison? Or maybe Never Been Kissed? Well this story is a lot like those… except a lot more creepy. A 33-year-old woman is accused of stealing her daughter’s identity to attend high school and join the cheerleading squad. Apparently she never graduated high school and wanted to give it another try. Is it me or does this seem like something that would happen in Alabama, not Wisconsin?
CBS: A new study reveals BlackBerry’s are becoming even more addictive than previously thought. As a matter of fact, the study of 6,500 traveling executives says 35 percent of them would choose their PDA over their spouse. Let’s say that you’re Spiderman and Doc-Ock is standing on a ledge dangling Mary Jane from one hand and your BlackBerry from the other… which one would you save?
FoxNews: I wouldn’t say that John McCain is starting to pull away in the Presidential race… we all know that these things can change in a heartbeat, and while there are only seven weeks left until election day, it’s entirely possible that things could change drastically between now and then. But McCain is starting to pull ahead in some states that traditionally lean blue… even Pennsylvania could be in play. If Barack Obama loses this election after having everything going in his favor for so long, what will happen to him? Will he be a person who is still viewed as an up-and-coming politician, or will be be known as the guy who blew it?
