Thurs. Show Prep - Space bug edition

  • SPACE.com: Here’s one thing you don’t want to hear when you’re on the International Space Station: one of the computers has a virus! It’s consistant with one you would get from online gambling sites, so it makes you wonder what they are doing up there in their free time. A computer virus is bad, but I’m sure the broken toilet a few months ago was a much scarier situation.
  • FoxNews: Eight years ago Alexandra Pelosi, the daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a relatively sentimental documentary of her months following George W. Bush as he ran for President. Now comes news that she is working on a similary documentary about John McCain’s campaign. When you think about it, that really makes sense. If you’re the daughter of an uber-leftist from San Francisco, I guess the only way you could rebel from your mother is to follow Republicans around and make them look like human beings.
  • AFP: Chinese sports fans are apparently feeling empty and without meaning now that the Olympics are over. I can see how that would be a problem. The Olympics really were a point of great national pride for the Chinese, and it’s had a huge build-up worldwide since they were announced as the hosts, I can only imagine what it was like there. At least they’ve got a winged cat to stare at for a while.
