I actually don’t have any problems with this considering what it will be used for, if they started questioning balls and strikes for example all that would do is slow the game down. Does anyone else find it a bit odd that they are instituting this in the middle of the season? Does anyone want to put any money on the Cubs getting within striking distance of the World Series, only to see their hopes somehow dashed by instant replay?
AP: A 9 year old pitcher has been thrown out of his youth baseball league because he throws too hard. They say other kids are afraid to hit against him. How do you stop a kid from playing because he’s too good? Perhaps his coach’s allegation that the top team in the league demanded that the kid pitch for them, and disbanded his team and threw him out when they couldn’t have him, might be the reason.
