FoxNews: It turns out that tree-hugging Prius drivers, who started driving hybrids before a tank of gas required a second mortgage are spending most of their free time rubbing it in to the late adapters. Yes, it’s eco-snobbery. I don’t know that this is really something that’s unique to greenies. I know that if I am in any way ahead of the game in anything, the people around me won’t hear the end of it. When I buy the first hydrogen fuel-cell car and don’t need gas at all I’ll certainly rub it in as much as possible.
NBC 10: An 11 year old girl was swimming in the ocean when she suddenly found a bag full of money and credit cards. It seems that the owner was staying at a hotel that didn’t provide a safe, so he decided to carry his money and such with him, instead of leaving it in an unsafe place. I’d argue that stuffing it in your speedo while you’re swimming isn’t much safer than leaving it in your suitcase, but what do I know? Of course it brings up the age-old question, if you were in this situation would you give the money back? I would… but as usual, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because that somewhat elaborate and bonehead move sounds like something I would come up with.
AP: More bad news for Dan Deibert, and the rest of us for that matter… Internet usage caps seem to be on the way. More and more ISP’s are imposing a cap on usage to stave off the growth in bandwidth usage. The amount? Well you might want to sit down for this one… 5 GB per month. As the articles says, that’s less than three DVD movies, which means that NetFlix could kiss their budding download business goodbye.
