- BBC: 25 years ago the Russians decided to launch a space plane called Buran that looked suspiciously like the US Space Shuttle… their long legacy of copying NASA looks like it will continue. They’ve unveiled a new spacecraft that they will be building with the ESA to replace the Soyuz. I certainly realize that the design of a spacecraft comes more from the duties that you need it to preform rather than asthetics… but you have to admit that it looks almost exactly like NASA’s new Orion spacecraft. The new ship could make its first flight as early as 2018. Orion should come online in 2015… unless Congress cuts their funding again, or Obama eliminates it altogether.
- Sun-Crimes: Let’s say that you finally get that interview for your dream job. When you walk into the office are you going to great the interviewer with a hardy fist-bump? Apparently it is growing in popularity, with one exec saying he gets about one a month. If you were interviewing for an assistant framistat maker and one of the people came in and greeted you with a fist bump, would you even both giving them a courtesy interview or would you just go ahead and kick them out of your office right then and there?
- Washington Times: Hollywood Republicans are starting to get upitty, thinking that their opinion might actually count as much as Sean Penn’s. I’m a big fan of Gary Sinise and Kelsey Grammar, but if you’re a Republican who is constantly talking about mindless celebrities spouting of their uninformed opinions, isn’t it a little hypocrittical suddenly be all impressed when a celebrity or two believes in limited government and a strong national defense?
- FoxNews: For no particular reason, here’s a list of the Top Ten “Unconventional Religious Artifacts. Apparently Mother Teresa has spent some of her free time appearing as a cinnamon bun… or in other words, a “Nun Bun.”
- Politico: Remember how Obama’s “fact finding” trip to the middle east was going to give him the foreign policy experience he needed to be the leader of the Free World? It turns out it’s been nothing but one staged photo-op after another.

I can just see it now…Obama cancels the moon program. Orion then becomes “redundant” because of the ESA/Russian craft, so Obama cancels that and we become beholden to another country semi-permanently for getting up to the ISS.
